Te Puna Sports Academy meets MAHI Sports Academy.

Alexia Skipper-Jones —

Aidan Butterworth, owner of MAHI performance, briefs our Y8 Sports Academy about MAHI, and asks them what they want to improve in their sport.

Our students responses, 'Faster, stronger, fitter, more flexible, and big shoulders'.

One of the Te Puna Sports Academy objectives, is to inspire and educate our students, by showing them how dedication and hard work can lead to great improvement in their sport and to future career opportunities, by providing opportunity to meet successful, healthy, role models in our community.

Aidan, who is also a school parent, gave up his time to invite the group into Aspire Gym before school on Wednesday.  The boys were put through a number of weight bearing, medicine ball and sprint exercises for an hour, alongside the MAHI sports academy members.  The boys loved every minute and were buzzing to be in such an awesome environment, with Aidan, who is an exceptional trainer.

Mahi Sports Academy is an athletic programme within MAHI performance that's purpose is to foster a professional training environment that creates opportunities and supports all athletes on their journey for success in sport and life.

'Aidan, the boys were on a high all day, they loved your approach, support and enthusiasm.  Thank you, from all of us for giving them this opportunity'.
