Te Puna JMC

Neil Towersey —

Due to the ever-changing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, some of you may be wondering what is going to happen with the 2020 Junior Rugby season.

Kia ora koutou,

At the moment, the majority of the WBOP Junior Rugby clubs, Te Puna JMC included, are hoping that there will be some sort of season this year, though it will probably be a later start and shorter competition.
Unfortunately, the start date or the length of the season is still unknown.
These dates are in the hands of the Ministry of Health and the BOP/NZ Rugby Unions.

As I’m sure you would have guessed, there will be no Muster this coming Thursday, 2nd of April.
Once again, a rescheduled date depends on how the COVID-19 situation pans out.

The Te Puna JMC committee understands that the community would be disappointed if the 2020 season was to be cancelled after such a remarkable 2019 season.
Therefore, the Te Puna JMC committee is committed to keeping all friends and whanau of Te Puna JMC community informed of any changes that may affect the 2020 season and the Club.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Andrew George (Te Puna JMC Vice President) on 021 222 6270, or email andrew.george@tauranga.govt.nz

Nga mihi,

Te Puna JMC Committee
