Lockdown Uniform - R12 Writing
Students in Rm 12 were asked to describe an ideal lockdown uniform. Here is what they thought
In the Orsmby Lockdown Bootcamp the uniform is:
- Running shoes, socks, tights, T-shirt and helmet.
- Running shoes are important because they protect my feet
- Socks are important because they protect my feet from blisters and smelling
- Tights are important because they provide warmth and flexibility when riding
- My t-shirt is important because it gives me warmth and protection
- My helmet is very important because it protects my head in case I fall

My lockdown uniform is very simple there’s not much to explain. It's just my onesies. One day I’ll wear my sloth one, next day my duck one. I can still do all the things I need to do in a onesie.
I can work outside, jump on the tramp, (sadly) tidy my room etc…
My favourite onesie is my duck one, it was my first one. After I could walk was a yellow onesie with a mohawk like the roosters have and a tail that looks like a moustache. My sister calls me duck because of that onesie, so when I outgrow it (going to be very soon) I will put it in my treasure box.

Welcome to Te Puna Rd School. Our uniform is probably very similar to everyone else's, it is pyjamas with our clothes underneath and we don't actually take our pyjamas off until we need to go out to the Four Square. Also, you need to have socks on all day.Logan Robertson
Welcome to Oikimoke Rd school! The uniforms we wear here are soft and light. Made of merino wool. With a red tie and a blue coat and a blue T-shirt and black shorts. The logo is the Wairoa River with the Kaimai Range in the background and the sun setting in the west.

At Te Tarawa Raka Iho Wharekura (A.K.A my home at lock-down) our uniform is all about comfort; a pair of fluffy boots for jumping up the stairs, giant jumpers and comfortable shirts for the play in the day, stretchy pants for flipping on the trampoline and a good attitude for the most boring things.

Ding, Dong, that's the bell for Snodgrass School. J.K. (just kidding) there's no bell. My perfect lockdown uniform is; messy bun with a loose homemade scrunchie, a blanket that follows me everywhere, cause, you know, warmth. PJs all day in lockdown (but better get dressed for that meeting) with pockets for stuffing in snacks and fluffy ugg boots for warm feet. Hideaway in front of my school work. Ahh, lockdown.
