Y7-8 Te Puna Tutors take out the final in the mixed grade last night at Mercury Stadium.

The Y7-8 Basketball team have come out on top after an epic season! Last Monday night we witnessed a very intense nail-biter of a semi-final against Te Kura o Matapihi with Te Puna winning by 2 points in the last minute of the game! The crowd was on their feet as both teams played their absolute hearts out. 

The team was hesitant heading into last nights final against Otepou, as they had beat us twice this season. 

And what a game!!! The team played incredibly well together and it was tight all the way through to the 4th quarter where Te Puna managed to take the game out 41-31, winning the gold medal for the mixed division!

 What a season - we couldn’t be more proud! A massive thank you to our coaches Jo, Dave and James and also our incredible parent support. GO TE PUNA!!!!
