School Reports

Reports are due home on Friday. Formal interviews will follow early in Term 3.
by Kylie Chambers

This is a mid-year snapshot of how your child is progressing towards the curriculum expectations in numeracy and literacy and MORE IMPORTANTLY, how well they are progressing toward key competencies, values and learner attributes.

Sometimes the learning progress key (1,2,3,4) can create unnecessary worry for parents reading reports at mid-year.

A ‘3’ meaning ‘approaching curriculum level expectation’ is perfectly normal at this time of the year as children have only had 6 months of instruction at that level. This does not necessarily mean that the child is below or well below expectation.

Teachers are available by appointment at any mutually agreeable time to discuss these reports but you are most welcome to make a parent interview next term.
