Timetable changes for Term 2

Jenni Holden —

There are some small changes coming to the school timetable.

From the start of Term 2, we will increase the length of interval by 10 minutes each day. We won’t extend the school day (that is, classes will still finish at 3pm, and 2:30pm on a Wednesday), with the 10 minutes taken off the Period 3&4 classes. There are a number of reasons for this, largely around how the new timetable works with staff and students spread out more across the kura, and needing to provide sufficient time for all kaimahi and ākonga to have a break, have some food and drink, and take a bathroom break.

Please see below for the updated times. Individual updated timetables will be emailed to students and whānau for the start of the new term. The other changes to the timetable have been largely well-received (especially seeing all senior students three times across the week). During Term 2 we will take the opportunity to seek further feedback from staff, students and whānau to inform any further changes to the timetable for 2026.
