The Minister of Education Visit
Well, it sometimes takes a visitor for you just to realise how special our place is!
The Minister had a great time here and I was just so proud of our students, our staff and our two new buildings. Thank you to everyone that did extra – Sherron, thank you for all you do to make me look good! The teachers that moved spaces, thank you! Chantelle and Kapa Haka, I am so proud of you all and I know that doesn’t just come together on the day! Ngā mihi! Sally, our barista, thank you for taking the time to support our students today! The coffee got a lot of positive comments and to have students making it… what a start to the visit!
Comments made included – “It is just so calm here”, “This is a school where the buildings really support the culture of the school”, “What a lovely feel”, “Yes Rowan, the buildings are lovely but the really great bit is what is happening in them”, “There should be more schools like this.”
It is fair to say I am just buzzing! A nice chance to say thank you to everyone that works here as we all create this culture every day, and for that I am very grateful.
