One of the many options for Year 9 and 10 students in our Junior Kete Wana classes is Do the Duke.

In Do the Duke students learn new skills, get physically active and volunteer in the community. Students can choose to complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award as part of this course too. Recently in Do the Duke we have been volunteering in and around our school community. This has enabled us all to gain greater empathy and care for others. We have enjoyed helping out at the Botanic Gardens, Habitat for Humanity and the new Climate Action Campus. We have also been working with our Adult English Language Learner class at Hagley College to teach activities such as Dodgeball, table tennis and card games.
