Kī o Rahi
An amazing result from our Kī o Rahi A team this term; they have claimed the title of Waitaha Regional Champions 2023!!
With the growing numbers of ākonga now playing Kī o Rahi for our kura, we had 2 teams competing. Our B team fought hard to the end and placed 11th out of 16 teams.
It was a great day, filled with lots of positive energy, determination, and manaakitanga demonstrated by our ākonga.
Both teams played 5 games before our A team made it through to the final versing Te Aratai to play off for 1st and 2nd, winning 17-4.
We had 2 ākonga from our kura announced as the MVPs for the final: Tyler Fairweather-Salkeld and Eve Tonascia – we are very proud of the way they played and demonstrated our school values. Ka rawe!!
Ngā mihi to Chris Smith for all the mahi he puts into Kī o Rahi for our kura. The Sport department appreciates your dedication, positive energy, and expertise so much!
