As we get closer to the end of the year, exams, NCEA and University Entrance become an even bigger focus for our students.

Recently our Year 11-13 students have taken part in our school practice exams. This was a chance for students to get themselves in exam mode and for many (mainly Year 11’s) a chance to understand what it is like to sit formal external exams. The results from these exams provide important feedback for students to help steer them in the right direction in the coming months. These exams also provide the school with a grade that could be used if a student needs to apply for a derived grade. Over the next two months students should be ensuring that all internal assessments are completed, and that time is spent studying and preparing for the NCEA external exams in November. We ask that parents and whānau support students by helping them with planning study schedules, managing distractions and positively promoting this mahi because it’s an important part of many students' learning journey. The Term 3 holidays present the perfect opportunity for students to firstly relax and recharge, but also to start study preparation.

The last day of classes for Senior students is Thursday November 2nd. NCEA exams run from Monday November 6th to Tuesday December 5th. See below for the full exam timetable.

Our Senior Prizegiving celebration will be held on Wednesday November 8th (by invitation), and our Year 13 Graduation event will be held on Thursday November 30th (all welcome). More information on each of these events will be provided in Term 4.
