Hagley really appreciates the support we receive from our students, parents and families in the form of school donations. The donations mean we are able to run a wide range of 'outside the classroom' activities for our students.

Our school has decided not to enter a trial scheme offered by the Ministry of Education.  The scheme is for decile 1 to 7 schools and provides $150 per student. If a school opts into the trial, it means that it cannot seek or accept donations.

After looking closely at the implications of being involved in the trial scheme, it has become clear that it would have a significant negative impact on Hagley's income, as we would be unable to ask for any financial support from our school community.

It should be remembered that, for students up to their 19th birthday, these are donations . Parents are free to pay these in full, in part, or not at all.
