Year 10 Science Fair
All Year 10 science rangitahi spent many weeks in Term 2 immersed in science projects of their choice.
They designed experiments to test their ideas on many different projects from hydroponics and glove insulation qualities to common fire fabrics and how physical activity affects your memory.
During the week of the 1st August, all the exhibits were on display in the science department. Many classes came to look at all the exhibits and I overheard some Year 9 students gathering ideas for their projects next year. The judges were impressed by the variety of projects, and the quality of science, and presentation of the exhibits.
We hosted an open evening for whānau and friends to come and view the wonderful exhibits. We had a prize giving during the evening and the following exhibits were recognised:

The science department congratulates all the rangitahi for their dedication and organisation to complete their projects to such a high standard. We thank the whānau and friends for all their support and the judges for their careful consideration, ngā mihi nui.
