New Staff

Jenni Holden —

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new staff at Te Puna Wai o Waipapa - Hagley College in 2023.

Kaitlin Feast

Kia ora! I am stoked and very grateful to have had the opportunity to join the team at Te Puna Wai O Waipapa for 2023! I grew up in Canterbury and have lived here all my life. I completed a Bachelor of Sport Coaching followed by a teaching diploma at University of Canterbury. I have been teaching at Ellesmere College for the past 2 years. You’ll find me in the PE department teaching junior Health & PE, Year 12 PE and ELL PE.

Teresa Allpress

Tēnā koutou, I am thrilled to join the teaching team here at Te Puna Wai o Waipapa! I moved from the USA where I was a research scientist and community educator, and decided to change careers when my whānau moved here to Ōtautahi a few years ago. Last year I taught a variety of subjects at Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery, and I'm excited to hone in on teaching science and chemistry here at Hagley. I am super stoked to get to know our community here and help make 2023 an awesome year for our kura.

Abhijeet Sidhu

Kia ora whānau, ko Abhijeet tōku ingoa! I'm really excited to be a part of the Hagley family and I'm enjoying my teaching and sport coordination role at Te Puna Wai O Waipapa. I like being physically active, while inspiring others to do the same - this keeps me healthy and happy 😊 Looking forward to getting to know you all better!

Lindsay Edmondson

Kia ora – I loved my time as a student teacher at Hagley during Term 3 last year and was very excited to come back to teach full-time. I’m originally from America and have been in New Zealand since 2009. Teaching is my second career – I spent the last 20 years working as a lawyer and disputes adjudicator. But change is good! Now you can find me teaching English to rapt Year 9s, 11s, and 12s.

Adaire Manners

Kia ora everyone! I am working in the Enrolment Centre as the new Lynda! I’m really enjoying working at Hagley and being part of the Enrolment Team. I live in Opawa with my Husband, two very active children and our spoodle Gambol. Thank you for making me feel welcome and part of the Hagley Team.

Alice Ravn

Kia ora everyone! I am delighted to be joining the Hagley College Whānau! I finished my teacher training at UC last year and I feel especially lucky to begin my teaching journey here. You’ll find me in the Science department teaching Junior Science, Senior Biology and Pre-Health Biology.

Amber Yuill Proctor

Kia ora all! I am super excited to be the Fitness Centre Manager for the brand-new weights room. I have completed my bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science at the Ara Institiute of Canterbury and I'm continuing through my studies with a postgraduate diploma in Performance Analysis from Otago Polytechnic. I have a great passion for all things outdoors including snowboarding, martial arts and climbing, as well as training in the gym. I am very much looking forward to working with everyone at Te Puna Wai O Waipapa.

Kia ora! 5 weeks at Hagley so far and the honeymoon continues in this wonderful, vibrant and diverse community. It's been a long time and a winding road since my childhood playing schools with friends, the ironing board as the teacher's desk - now finally here as a TA (Teacher Aide) with the lovely Year 9s (9BK).

In addition, Wendy Hayford and Harry Smit have also joined us as Teacher Aides in 2023, working with 9SV and 9HSC respectively. Michelle Pope also returns to us as a Teacher Aide, working with 10DOW.

A warm welcome to all our new staff this year.
