Practice NCEA Exams

Julie Davies —

Many of our Year 11-13 students will be sitting practice NCEA external examinations next month.

From Monday 12th to Friday 16th September, exams will be taking place for many senior subjects in preparation for the NCEA exams in November. Morning exams start at 9am, so students need to arrive by 8:40am. Afternoon exams start at 1pm so students need to arrive by 12:40pm. Note that part-time students may have an exam at a time that they would not normally attend school.

For all students in Year 11-13 who will be sitting external NCEA exams in November, it is very important to attend these practice exams as results will form the basis of any derived grades.

Students who have an exam clash need to see Michaela Heenan in the Enrolment Centre ASAP so she can make arrangements for you.

No senior classes will run over these five days to allow students to focus on their exams. Some teachers may make arrangements with groups of students e.g. art, to continue working on portfolios during this week.

ALL Year 9 and 10 Junior College classes will continue as normal throughout the week, as will specialist courses and English Language Learner classes. After 3 evening classes also continue as usual.

All classes return to the normal timetable from Monday, 19th September.

See below for the practice exam timetable and rules.
