Kia ora! I am so excited to be part of Hagley College. I am from Dunedin where I completed my Culinary Art degree and my Fine Arts degree. I moved to Christchurch post-quake to make it my home and I just completed my teaching diploma at the University of Canterbury. I will be teaching the new Creative Cook programme and Year 13 Hospitality.

Kia ora Everyone! I am thrilled to begin my teaching job here at Hagley. I am Christchurch born and bred and just finished at Canterbury where I did a Chemistry degree and Teaching diploma. You will find me hanging around the Science department teaching Year 9 Science, Year 12 Chemistry and the After 3 Science class.

Kia ora everyone! I’m loving being part of the Hagley Whānau so far - what a great family to be a part of! After moving from Auckland to study my BA in Fine Arts, being an artist for a year and completing my teaching certificate, I’m excited I now get to live out my dream job being Hagley’s new Art teacher. You’ll see me teaching Kete Wana Art, Kete Wana Motion Graphics, Year 11 Art and Year 12/13 Printmaking. What a dream!

Tena koutou. I am incredibly grateful and excited to be part of the Hagley Outdoor Education team this year. I have spent the best past of 15 years overseas seeing and experiencing incredible things and am looking forward to seeing more incredible things in the Canterbury outdoors. I will be teaching 12 Outdoor Education and will be based in the PE department. Rangimarie.

Talofa lava! Very excited to be part of the team here at Te Puna Wai O Waipapa!

After working with the Kapahaka group in Term 4 last year, I was very fortunate to have been offered a role as a Teacher Aide this year, so here I am.

I’m very excited and looking forward to assisting our kaiako within the classrooms but most of all to be part of empowering our young people to be all that they can be.

Tēnā koutou, Tālofa lava. Some of you might be keen enough to recognise me from your School Prospectus – I graduated from here at Te Puna Wai o Waipapa just last year, and now I’m privileged enough to be back, teaching Beginner’s Reo Māori here in our After 3 programme. This year I’ll also be studying full-time at the University of Canterbury, majoring in Te Reo Māori and Linguistics. I’m glad to be giving back to the school that gave me this opportunity in the first place. Cheers!

Kia ora all, I am so happy to be part of this school community. I came here last year for two practicums which I loved, as part of my post-grad training which I did through Massey Uni. I am a trained chef and previously I have been running my own wee catering business from home and raising four children. I have also completed some Public Health papers through Otago Uni and a long time ago did my BSc in Psyc. I am filling in for Jenny O while she studies Te Reo this year, ECE, CHI and HOS, looking forward to meeting you all.

We also warmly welcome the following new staff members:

Brannon Moore (Sports Assistant/Teacher Aide), Luke Bulger (After 3 Te Reo Māori tutor), and Angela Mote-Andrews (Itinerant Music teacher).
