Rowan’s response:

Tēnā koutou,

It is an incredible honour to be appointed Tumuaki of Te Puna Wai o Waipapa/Hagley College.

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside such an incredible staff, a diverse and awesome group of students and a supportive whānau community.

My motivation for the position has always been focused on being Tumuaki of this kura, not any kura. Working alongside our Senior Leadership Team to make decisions that have a positive impact on all of our ākonga remains my driver and I am looking forward to being a Tumuaki that remains well-connected to our students and their families.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had opportunities to develop my leadership over the last two years in particular. These experiences have prepared me for the Tumuaki role and I can’t wait to officially start!

A big thank you to the Board of Trustees for their support and confidence in me.

I will be in touch with an Orange setting COVID-19 update towards the end of the holidays. Have a lovely Easter.

Naku noa, nā

Rowan Milburn
