Year 12 Physics students
Year 12 Physics students has a great time learning about our very own Ernest Rutherford’s contributions to science at UC in June.
We can’t use radioactive sources at school, so the university allows our students to safely conduct experiments with Geiger counters, as well as using all their fun toys like their hi-tech AI sandpit, hoverboards and, of course, the bed of nails!
Year 13 Chemistry students had an equally great time at UC last week, learning about spectroscopy and checking out the equipment that collects spectroscopic data. These machines are very expensive and it was a great opportunity for them to see these in action.
