Congratulations to our 2022 Dux, Ryan Moore.

Ryan joined Te Puna Wai o Waipapa - Hagley College as a Year 9 student in 2018. All of his teachers describe him as a very hardworking, dedicated and self-motivated student who likes learning for its own sake, rather than just to earn credits. Ryan gained Year 13 Academic Excellence awards in Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science.

Ryan was also awarded the Hugh McDougall Rankin scholarship, which is provided annually by the Hugh McDougall Rankin Education Trust to encourage young people to advance their interest in the Sciences. Another of his awards was a Bickerton Widdowson scholarship to attend the University of Canterbury in 2023 where he plans to study Engineering.
