The school year is always a busy one. Find all the important starting dates for the new school year right here.

In January, all students will be either emailed or posted a copy of their provisional timetable for 2019, along with the starting dates for their year group.

• Year 9s - Wed, Jan 30th - Welcome and Orientation
  

• Year 10s - Thurs, Jan 31st - Welcome and Orientation
• Year 11s - Thurs, Jan 31st - Welcome and Orientation
  

• Year 12s - Fri, Feb 1st - Welcome and Orientation
• Year 13s - Fri, Feb 1st - Welcome and Orientation
• ELL students - Fri, Feb 1st - Welcome and Orientation
  

• After 3 - all classes start from Monday Feb 4th
  

2019 also sees the launch of a new school timetable. The major differences are a slightly earlier start time of 8:30am and a 3pm finish. The exception is Wednesdays, when classes start at 9:45am and finish at 2:40pm for sport.

The new school timetable offers students more choice in their day, with 7 option lines for senior students to choose from, and more optional choices for junior students (Kete Wana). Year 9 to 11 students will still do a full programme of study every day. Year 12 & 13 students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of different activities or short courses in the times that they don't have regular classes.
