Stand tall, love long and protect ones beneath him. Symbolises Tane Mahuta. Resilience in the wind and the rain and a canopy to protect those underneath him. Still, tall and strong can’t sway left or right - a good leader has to stand strong and stay staunch to whatever the kaupapa is.
