Te Puru School

Te Mātaiaho/Our Curriculum

Te Puru School is a co-educational full primary school, (U4), with approximately 185 students.

Our TPS student-centred, place-based curriculum enables tamariki to engage in a range of rich learning experiences, developing an authentic sense of place and belonging. With our unique learning environment and Kaitiakitanga being at the heart of what we do, through Kura Tātahi our tamariki are immersed in 'hands-on' outdoor learning experiences fostering exploration, problem-solving, discovery, collaboration, environmental education and action, and the values of Tikanga Māori. This engages passion, empowers tamariki and implements change to inspire the future.
