Kōanga Festivals Round Two.
Welcome Back to Term Four!!!
We finished off last term and started this term with our kōanga festivals for Ruru and Korimako. Ruru had a beautiful spring day for their celebration and a feast of delicious kai to share with the whānau that came in.
Korimako ventured to battle hill to feed the eels and had an adventurous day picnicing in the great outdoors.
It is definitely the term of sunhats and sunscreen, if you have a particular brand you would like for your child please put it in their bag and let your kaiako know. If we can keep clothing as free as possible from large prints and branding it sets up good expectations for the tamariki of what is requested at school and helps us to reduce some of the business in the kindergarten.
It is a busy term for our kaiako as we prepare for the 6-year-olds to leave for class one. We have six year old observations and meetings with the whānau to share a final picture of the tamaiti at kindergarten, these will be happening in the next few weeks.
Some of the tamariki may have told you that the chickens have left the kindergarten. These have gone to a new home and we are currently looking into getting some silky chickens that don't dig up our hard efforts in the garden. We will introduce them in the newsletter when they have arrived.
We would love to say congratulations to Keitaria and Jacob on the birth of their new baby.
