Ngahuru Kindergarten Festival

Tash Robertson —

It is a beautiful season of the year when the autumnal hues of colour decorate the trees and significant for the children in recognising that Ngahuru is upon us.

To mark this special time, Korimako and Ruru kindergarten children joined Kereru class to hear Gussie tell the story of "Hugin and the Turnip".

The tamariki shared kai of soup and buns for lunch and to end the day the children chose from the harvest table a selection of delicious offerings; seeds, fruit, vegetables, and preserves.

A big Thank You to the kaiako and kaiāwhina who make this such a special day by weaving the baskets, preparing the food, prepping the story, and planning to make it a memorable event for the tamariki.
