Autumn's Coming ...

Kerstin Wagner —

Gumboots at the ready ... an unexpected froggy visitor outside a classroom last week reminded us that, just as nature is getting ready, so should we.

Time to check out our school dress code ahead of the "middle terms" 2 and 3. Sunhats will no longer be required, but students still need to wear suitable footwear to school. This means shoes with backs or back straps that are practical for running, walking and playing - sandals yes, jandals no, but with the change of weather sneakers are probably best.

If children are wearing gumboots to school, they ideally also bring a spare pair of shoes so that they are able to participate in PE and other active activities. Running in gumboots is not much fun!

Keeping feet warm indoors is important. Next term, please provide warm woollen socks or well fitting slippers for your child to wear in the classroom. As always when mornings are getting cooler, it is best if the children wear multiple layers of clothing so they can easily remove layers as the day gets warmer. Raincoats with hoods should be worn/brought to schol on rainy days please. Thank you.
