Therapies at Te Rā

Office - Te Rā School —

Help with the cost of private therapies

Waldorf education is envisaged as a healing education and there are a number of anthroposophical therapies that can support human development in a way that aligns with what we are doing in the school.

In our community, we are fortunate to have some amazing people offering  different therapies. At the moment, the school is not in a position to employ therapists. However, we do want to support whānau to access this type of support.

We have been working towards this for a while and now have a Therapy Fund established. These funds will be used to supplement the cost of anthroposophically based therapies at the rate of $30 per hour. This fund is separate to school finances and  the relationship is between you, as caregivers, and the therapist. The fund will be available to make this more affordable for our community members.

The money we have accessed to set this up has come from the Fundraising Group - the group that looks after money raised through the Harvest Fair. We feel this is a great way to use these funds to benefit the community.

We will post a reminder about this next year, as well as some more info from the therapists. Some of the therapists in our community are:

Margrita Freie - Extra Lesson

Tina Regtein - Art therapy

Elien Hoffmans - Therapeutic Eurythmy

Maria Protassova - Art Therapy

We are just getting started with this and will see how it goes. We will also need to keep the fund growing if there is lots of demand! Come and see me if you have any questions.
