It has been many years since I finished Class 7 and left Te Rā. As a child, the lantern festival held a special place in my heart. It was a magical night where the school would come together, and we would proudly show our lanterns to friends and family. Children from Class 4 were tasked with creating fairy dens and grottos in the gardens and glowing lanterns decorated the school.

As the Trust reviews staffing needs following the resignation of the Executive Officer, we are looking for a skilled, motivated and reliable Trust Administrator.

Playgroup term is coming to an end as we celebrate Matariki.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to help in this special Kindergarten working bee! Many hands made light work, and in this case, many hands also did mahi pakeke!

Nurture the seed and it will bloom. Term 3 Partnership Hui will be held on Wednesdays of Week 5 and 6 next term, on 16 and 23 August.

Recently, Class 7 students, whānau and their teacher went to our sister school in Lower Hutt, Raphael House to meet & greet the "other Class 7", and to explore the school environment to get a taste of what it would be like to be an Upper School rangatahi at Raphael House.

Each year this event is a special one for our community. Coming together early in the morning to a gathering circle to reflect and remember the year before.
