Christmas Market 13 December

Office - Te Rā SchoolNovember 7, 2024

We are looking for stall holders for this special annual event

This year's Christmas Market will be on

Friday 13 December

We are looking for stall holders and, like last year, we will also have some children's stalls. This market is open to external stall holders. Children's stalls are for Te Rā students only.

Applications for the market close on Thursday 5 December.

Food and drink stalls tend to be only given to class fundraising however we are open to individual fundraising - please explain this on your application form. If you are a class group wanting to have a fundraising stall you will not be charged for table space. Please email Cat office@tera.school.nz to book your classes stall.

The first Christmas Market came about when a group of parents wanted to find suitable handmade items for Christmas gifts for their Te Rāwhiti children. That year, one Friday afternoon, the Parent Craft Group sold items they had made and the school shop was open and out on display. The following year a bunch of parents wanted in on this action and had their own tables. It blossomed into the small but busy Christmas Market that we now know.

It is important to us that this original kaupapa is remembered. That is why we make sure that this market only sells the best to our whānau including natural, handmade, and low/no waste items. No screen referencing, plastic toys etc

There are printed stall application forms available at the school office for both adult and children stalls.

For questions or inquiries please email Cat office@tera.school.nz
