GLS — May 5, 2021

This week is an exciting week as it is New Zealand Sign Language Week.

To celebrate GLS will be having a sign language alphabet scavenger hunt around the school.

Miss Nelson has set up a fabulous scavenger hunt to learn some basic signs. Your challenge Grey Lynn learners, is to try find all the letters of the sign language alphabet and learn how to sign your name.

Extra for experts is to learn all the signs for the alphabet and be able to sign other people's names too. Starting from Tuesday this week you can pick up Scavenger hunt tick sheets from the Atrium (beside the buttons) and track how many letters you find. If you find all the letters you can return your sheet to a box in the atrium and go in the draw to win prizes!

Looking forward to seeing you out there hunting!

Below are some useful and easy to follow videos about some NZSL you could use next week.
