Sign Language at lunchtime
This Term GLS students from Year 1-6 have had the opportunity to learn some New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) during our lunchtime club time.
I am thrilled to say that we've had a fantastic turnout each week of motivated and engaged learners. Our focus every session is to practise fingerspelling the alphabet so we can sign our names and understand the names of others. Each week we add in a new piece of learning such as the days of the week, animals or talking about how we feel. We are also learning the signs for an awesome song that we hope to share with you one day.
If you're interested in sign language and you haven't come before that's fine, new learners are always welcome.
