Alicia Whata —

Our vision is for all at our place; ‘Learning today at Grey Lynn School to shape tomorrow!’ Our strategic plan is firmly focused on LEARNING | AKO Growing potential - dreaming big. Our curriculum is our map for learning and we want our students to have meaningful learning experiences.

We aim for students to have meaningful learning experiences. Part of this work is to develop and review our local curriculum.

We wish to gain shared understandings about the teaching and learning you would like at our school.
We are keen to hear what needs and interests that you as our families and the greater community have for our students.

We want a local curriculum that strengthens our people and celebrates our place. We know that there are amazing people doing amazing things in our community. How do we as a school; better connect our students to these learning opportunities?

What are these learning connections and opportunities that exist in our local community? We wish to build partnerships with our families and our wider community. We need your ideas and input. What ideas do you have about our community resources and connections, such as different cultures, businesses, organisations, professionals and service providers?

We are collating a database of possibilities for our staff to consider when we design learning experiences for our students and we need everyone’s input!

Share your ideas using this link: A Connected Local Curriculum at Grey Lynn School

Tuesday 10th September we will make opportunities to share what we have collated and be available to talk through what our curriculum design looks like. We will be outside the Doris Smith Block from 8:30am - 9:am and again at 2:45 pm -3:15 pm to chat.

We look forward to hearing your ideas!
