The end of season Y6 netball Fun Carnival was held at North Harbour on Wednesday 28 August from 4 – 7pm.

With an opening chant of “We’re Grey Lynners, we’re the winners” the girls played their hearts out and managed to win all 4 games.

Our star shooter Ilaana with the help of Zion, Evie and Clarisse kept the goals coming while our defensive combination of Anne, Zara and Alba held the opposition at bay with killer intercepts and strong positional play. Ila and Jaya, our reserves cheered on the team and kept the scoreboard up to date. 

There was a shooting competition and ball handling games during the programme with prizes for the best costumes and chant to finish the evening. It was great to see everyone dressed up – tutus and scrunchies were the fashion accessories of the night with tinsel and glitter leaving its mark on the courts. Thanks to all the parents and grandparents that came to support us. It was great to finish the season on a high.
