Are we there yet? YES we are!
Stage 3 of our school build is complete and we celebrate the new Grey Lynn School Hall and Arts Centre this week!
It has been an exciting week as we pinch ourselves to think how lucky we are to have such a wonderful school designed to support learners of our Grey Lynn School present and future! We have a physical environment that supports teachers and our students to ‘Learn today to shape tomorrow; a tona wa, ma tona kainga, nga tona ao’!
We remember that we have many people to thank to see this stage of our build complete. The many whanau who have contributed to fundraising efforts over the years, our Kaumatua, Taura Eruera, the students past and present who watched this building grow; our past and present BOT who valued and prioritised this project, our staff for their patience and positivity and my senior leadership team who have worked tirelessly. Our thanks to our past Principal Bill Barker of whom this plan was a passion and vision for all our futures.
Nga mihi; we thank you all; it is a treasure for our students and community and we look forward to making the most of its potential in the future.
Nga mihi
