Skiing @ Mt Hutt

Carolyn Davies —

No sun, but skiing (and boarding for some) fun on the slopes.

Every year I am blown away by the resilience and perseverance of the students who come skiing. For some it is their first time up the mountain and they take on every challenge with a smile on their face. The smiles sometimes become grimaces when they fall, or get frustrated of not being able to do something that seasoned skiers make look easy!

Across the slopes though, we heard much laughter as many they tried their hands (well, feet) at learning something new. Confident skiers were seen supporting their friends, with words of empathy, and often a lending hand to help others back on their feet!

Not all classrooms have four walls!

Big thanks to all our parents who came along to support the students.

On another note: Please support Mt Hutt on their quest to be awarded NZ's number 1 ski resort. Their organisation, instructors and facilities were outstanding, and they made it an absolutely fantastic day for your children! Click here for the link.
