Te Reo Māori lessons at Marshland.
Jess Bond - October 22, 2024
Thanks to a suggestion from one of our Pūkeko ākonga (learners) we will be running fun and engaging Te Reo Māori lessons at Marshland on Mondays.
Thanks to the students who came along on Rāhina (Monday). This week we covered learning how to tell somebody how another person is feeling using pronouns like "ia" (he or she). They had fun playing headbands to guess the emotion and could respond to...
"kei te pēhea ia?" (how is she?)
"kei te ngenge ia" (she is tired)
Next week we will be able to answer phrases like "kei te pēhea rātou?" (How are those three or more people that I don't know)
or "kei te pēhea kōrua?" (How are you two?)
Ngā mihi for your enthusiasm every-one! We also warmly welcome advice, tips or learning from any whānau who have knowledge in this space.
