The Kiwi Hub tamariki have been learning all about Matariki and loved sharing kai and making kites with our whānau

Our Kiwi Hub tamariki have enjoyed listening to different Matariki stories this term. We based our artwork on the book 'The Little Kiwi's Matariki' which was about Little Kiwi telling his friends that Matariki was coming. We watched a Youtube clip to learn how to draw a Kiwi and the children enjoyed it so much they were asking to draw Kiwi's during Reading and Discovery time. Matariki is a time to set goals and reflect on the year that's been. The tamariki were incredibly reflective and set lovely goals for themselves for this coming year. Thanks again to all whānau who joined us to celebrate Matariki. It was so beautiful to watch the children flying their kites outside.
