We are one week out from the Cultural Festival at Horncastle Arena and our tamariki are very excited to finally share the culmination of all their hard mahi.

Our Kapa Haka group had their dress rehearsal on Tuesday afternoon performing to two cohorts throughout the school (junior and senior). Tamariki have practised over the school holidays, fine tuning their poi and waiata. I could see and feel the emotion that went into the haka when they performed on Tuesday - absolutely spine tingling! I am so proud and thankful to everyone who has been involved with this group - tamariki, kaiako (Mrs Atkinson, Mrs Kerin, Mr Sutherland and Mr van der Schaaf) and of course the careful and knowledgeable guidance our Kapa Haka tutor, Matua Te Huaki. It really has been a collective effort to ensure our tamariki are prepared for this event.
