Communication Platforms
Paul Tyson - August 8, 2023
We publish a newsletter every second week. This includes examples of student learning, community notices, and a principal article written to parents and whānau. This is sent via email from Hero. You can view previous school newsletters on the school website. You do not need to do anything to receive this communication if you have given the school your contact details.
All other important notices or information from teachers or Team Leaders to parents and whānau are emailed out using the Hero App. If you receive emails through Hero, you may be promoted to log into your Hero App on Apple and/or Android devices. We also use Hero for reporting and communicating to parents / whānau. All emails that have been sent to you via Hero are saved on your Hero App and can be revisited at any time. It is important that you download and register for the Hero Application.
*Please note you can only log into Hero after your child's first day of school. If you have trouble logging into the HERO App, please contact Paul Tyson - tyson@marshland.school.nz. To log in to the HERO App for the first time please:

We have a Marshland School Facebook page which is used to communicate relevant notices and information to the community. In addition to this, there is a Marshland School Parent Facebook group that you can join. This is a great place to obtain uniform items and communicate with other Marshland School parents and whānau. You will be required to answer membership questions to become part of the parent page but the Marshland School Facebook page is accessible to anyone.
