As part of our ‘All About Us’ maths unit in the Pūkeko Hub, we have been enjoying getting to know each other better and finding out about some of our favourite things.

Working together (Ngātahi), we collected data about our home groups using tally charts and displayed this information in bar graphs. We have also been learning to make statements about our investigations. 

Using the data we collected, we have then been solving additive maths problems and developing our ability to represent and share our thinking when solving a problem (Ako). 

In the coming weeks we will also be using the Dragonistics and Cat Maths cards to further our understanding of collecting and displaying information. These cards are a great resource for organising groups in multiple ways and sharing our findings with each other.
