Kids For Kids 2018

Taryn Woodham —

Marshland School choir was yet again centre stage for the Kids for Kids 2018 concert at Horncastle Arena.

Last night, 13th of September, 75 of our talented students joined icon Jackie Clarke and musician Nathan King to host the Kids for Kids concert at Horncastle Arena. The 100% 'Kiwi As' show travels throughout NZ and students from all over the country participate to raise money for impoverished children around the world.

Our very own Ella Williams auditioned for a solo part and won herself a duet with none other than Jackie Clarke herself. Ella did herself and Marshland School proud with her pure talent and confidence! Watch this space... we have a star in the making.

Also a shout out to Shamus McCulloch and Benji Irvine for having the confidence to audition for various parts too. There's always next year!

A huge thank you to Heather Libeau-Dow for her amazing work to get our children ready for this. We are lucky to have Heather work with these children every Friday. The students put in a great amount of effort and it could be told by their focus and attention last night.

Finally, thank you to all the parents who purchased tickets to watch their children or at the very least ferry their children to and from the other side of town. We appreciate you and so do the thousands of children that have been sponsored through Kids for Kids' efforts.
