After a term of writing to our Pen Pal's and talking to them through Skype we invited them to come visit us in the Nest.

The Pukeko Nest children are enjoying their Pen Pal programme this year with the Waitakiri Primary School New Entrant studio. In the last week of term 1 we wrote invitations to our Pen Pals inviting them to Marshland School for the day to learn and play with us. On Friday 11th May they arrived by bus and we were so excited to meet them in person! We ate our kai with them, made Pukeko, sang songs and enjoyed a lovely Discovery afternoon. This week we are writing to them to tell them what we loved about our day with them. We hope to visit them sometime next term so we can learn all about their school!
