Regional Strictly Jump Jam Competition
On Saturday we were lucky enough to take three amazing Marshland School Teams to the Regional Strictly Jump Jam Competitions held at Cashmere College, Performing Arts Hall.
The first team we entered was a Strictly Year 3-4 team called Marshland Mumma Mia. This team comprised of 18 students who performed an “ABBA” classic, “Dancing Queen.” This team received several certificates for presentation and technical execution.
The second team we entered was our Strictly Year 5-6 team called Marshland Jammers. This team had 18 students who danced to a “Steps” classic called “5,6,7,8.” This team received certificates for presentation and technical execution. They also received a trophy for being placed 2nd in their section.
The third team was our Open Year 5-7 team. Due to the huge interest at Marshland School we were able to take the maximum number of 18 students for this team as well. They were called Marshland Party as we performed to the song “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody” from the Great Gatsby movie. This team received certificates for sportsmanship, presentation and technical execution and also received a trophy for coming 3rd place in their section.
We were so incredibly proud of our Marshland Teams, they have worked so hard and we wanted to thank them for their commitment and representation at the competition on Saturday. A huge thank you to all our supportive parents and staff who came to watch and cheer on the teams as well.
