As part of our visual art learning, Tūī Kōwhai have painted self-portraits.

We learnt about sketching the outline of our face using symmetry to place our facial features accurately. We did this by first drawing outlines with chalk on our paper to help when we were painting.

We attempted to mix paint colours to match our skin colour (we found this tricky). Lastly, we added the colours of our hair, eyes mouth and shirt to our portrait. We are very proud of our artwork and look forward to putting them on display in the hub.
