Jacqui Pascoe —

A piece of writing showing examples of compound sentences

As I left my house to go outside, a rock solid gale picked up. It was so strong that my cerise flower almost flew away, however, I held on tight!

Tonight was unlike most nights. The sky was navy blue and there was a small drizzle of snow and a thick blanket of fog. I was rugged up with a warm jacket, long pants and a woollen hat.

As I went to sit on the bench, I almost slipped off because it was frozen over. I looked down to see the flower that my lovely wife had grown and picked by hand. It swamped me in sadness but I will always know that she is looking down on me and will always be in my mind💕.
