Bringing Our Study of Water Environments to Life with Pastels

This term, our inquiry has focused on exploring the similarities and differences between freshwater and saltwater environments. We've been investigating the unique characteristics of tidal zones and the fascinating communities that inhabit these areas.

To bring this learning to life, we decided to express it through art. Using pastels, the students created wave and sun designs, reflecting the tidal environments we have been studying. This artistic process helped students visualise the connection between tidal zones and the environments we've explored.
