The Pūkeko Hub have been enjoying learning more about using great descriptive language in our reading and writing this term.

We are currently reading the shared book 'How Winston Delivered Christmas'. As well as getting us very excited about Christmas, we have loved how the great descriptive language has helped paint pictures in our mind of the characters, settings and events in the story.

We have also been practising using great descriptive language in our own writing. We have thought about carefully choosing strong verbs and adjectives to add interest to our writing and to give as much detail to the reader as possible. We especially enjoyed our character descriptions of The Wonky Donkey and The Very Cranky Bear.
