Kapa Haka Cultural Festival 2020

Riki Culley —

We are thrilled to let you know that this event will now proceed since we have moved to Alert Level 1. It has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for the Cultural Festival Committee who have had to put meetings, ticket sales and other organisational matters on hold. We hope that you can come and support our tamariki when they perform because they have worked really hard over the term.

Date: Thursday 29th October

Time: 12:30pm - 2:30pm

Venue: Horncastle Arena

Ticket Sales: On sale Monday 5th October through Ticketek

Ticket Prices:    $10 - adult       $ 5 - Child

All tamariki (children) and kaiako (teachers) will travel by bus to the venue and leave school at 10:45am. They will return to school by 3:00pm.

Kapa Haka uniforms will be issued in Week 2 next term so that we are ready to perform in front of our school for a dress rehearsal.

I have shared a youtube clip with all tamariki (via their student emails) in the Kapa Haka group to access over the school holidays. It is imperative that tamariki practise regularly (at least 5-10 minutes per day) so that we are peaking at the right time.

So proud of how well our tamariki have handled and bounced back from adversity. I hope you can come to this event.
