We have a number of extra-curricular options available during the school day. These are booked and charged through service providers and are independent to the school.

MONSTER MUSIC - Monster Music is a music school based in Canterbury, New Zealand. Monster Music offers a combination of music lessons in guitar, drums, ukulele, keyboard, and musical theory around many Canterbury schools and residences.

Lessons run on Thursday and Friday during school time. For any queries please contact Daniel Hitchens on 027 350 1829

CLASSICAL MUSIC - If you would like to enrol your child for either piano, violin, or cello lessons, please contact Joanna Park on 021 0825 4565 or email: psh8611@hotmail.com

Joanna teaches piano, violin, and cello to students of all levels (complete beginners through to professional level) covering all Trinity/ABRSM music grades, Suzuki learning methods, and music competitions. She offers both individual and group learning opportunities and will plan each lesson carefully to suit the level of the student and their goals.

SINGING - Claire is a highly experienced vocal coach and performer. She has worked with a variety of ages and levels and has a passion for singing and building vocal confidence in new students.

Claire has a Bachelor of Musical Arts majoring in vocals and works in several schools teaching vocals, guitar, and songwriting. Students who sign up with Claire quickly feel comfortable as they develop a healthy vocal technique, expand their range, build power and control, and have a beautiful singing tone over time.

TE RITO HARAKEKE SCHOOL BAND - Students have the opportunity to join a school band and are led by paid professionals in weekly practices and different performances. Band members are selected from Years 5-8 at the beginning of each year. Communication will come out to parents, whānau, and tamariki at the time to seek expressions of interest.
