Tūī students were some of the lucky few in New Zealand to take part in a skills and drills session with Shannon Maloney and Tegan Burling of the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

The Tūī team would like to thank AIA Insurance and Mila McMeekan (Tūī student) for allowing us to be a part of this experience. With many students buzzing with FIFA World Cup fever, and football fans in general, this was an amazing opportunity not to be missed!

After a quick meet, greet and question time in the Hub, the Tūī students took part in three sessions with the coaches in the school hall. Skills involved: ball control, manoeuvring around cones and a few fancy tricks. The students were exceptional at showing their Marshland MANA and were captivated by the coaches humour and friendliness (and probably their cool accents). The Tūī team are a talented bunch, we have many future football stars in the making!
