1. Teaching and Learning
- A focus on teaching students leadership skills
- Teachers provide clear, firm consistent responses to unwanted behaviours
- Promote and support social relationships in a positive way through Ngātahi - Togetherness
2. Consistency
- School leadership models a collaborative and caring approach
- School self-reviews and surveys are regularly undertaken
- Policies and procedures are applied consistently throughout the whole school
3. Environment
- The school's entrance is clearly visible and welcoming
- The school's grounds and buildings are clean and tidy
4. Community
- The school provides a welcome environment for parents, family & whānau to connect
- Tamariki feel a sense of belonging through the relationships they form and activities they participate in
- Firm consequences are in place and are clearly understood by students, staff, family and whānau
5. Modelling
- Staff interact with students in the playground and positively reinforce the behaviours they want to see
- Teachers take seriously all incidents reported to them and respond appropriately
