From 2019 students who intend on purchasing a device in Years 5- 8 are required to purchase a Chromebook. We recommend the ACER C734. This is a robust and reliable machine that has gone through rigorous testing as part of our work with Manaiakalani.

This device has been rigorously tested. The performance of the trackpad, screen, keyboard, camera, speakers, body, processor, hinges, ports etc.

Testing also includes dropping (from the recommended height) internal inspectionof parts and design, wifi performance, heat generation.


The deal to our Marshland whānau of this device will also include a bag, insurance, and a 3-year warranty at a price you will not get in store.

- Headphone Jack

-4gb of RAM (minimum for Chromebook)

-Screen size. No less than 11.6″ screen 

-A suitable carry case or cover (recommended)

-USB Port

– A Keyboard (this can not be a touchscreen keyboard)

-Must be able to run the Chrome browser
